Having healthy set of teeth can make you enjoy the ability to eat all kinds of food and to be able to speak clearly. Medical research indicate that there is a correlation between periodontal disease, respiratory disease, stroke, diabetes and heart disease. Moreover, the periodontal disease may lead bacterial infection to travel directly to the site of the replacement of the joint. When periodontal disease is detected early, the good news is that it can be successfully treated with methods that are far less invasive. Everyone of us should have our teeth cleaned by a dental professional at least twice a year to be able to prevent periodontal disease. And all of us needs to keep our mouth clean to guard against bacteria causing periodontal disease by proper practicing oral hygiene, proper hydration, brushing and flossing teeth.
