Overgrowth Of Bacteria: The Key Cause Of Periodontal Disease
Dental reports shows that the leading cause of tooth loss among adults and even teenagers is advanced periodontal disease. Dental problems can start from the overgrowth of bacteria that has been left without any treatment. For most periodontal disease problems, bad bacteria in the oral cavity is the key cause. Bad bacteria in the mouth can irritated the gums, cause gums to become inflamed and eventually receding gums can happen, thus allowing the formations of pockets between teeth and gums. In these pockets, bacteria get trapped and can easily breed. If you allow periodontal disease to continue, the more loss of teeth you will experience. To slow down the progression of periodontal disease and combat bad gum conditions, good oral hygiene and regular dental visits must be strictly observed.
