Chamomile As An Effective Sleeping Aid

Unlike some herbal sleep aid, chamomile does not have to be used on a daily basis to be efficient as a natural treatment for insomnia. Chamomile is thought to be very useful in soothing the symptoms of mild or transient insomnia. It has a flavonoida component called Chrysin which is the chemical credited to Chamomile’s capability of alleviating anxiety and encouraging sleep.

Chamomile is also an outstanding solution for someone that has a congested sinuses or food allergies that can cause sleeplessness. Although Chamomile is useful in the aid of allergy related symptoms, it is important to note that it is not rare for Hay fever sufferers who show an allergic reaction to ragweed and its close botanical relatives to have a comparable reaction to Chamomile.

What to do about Hot Flashes

In order to lessen the symptoms of menopause, every woman need to be educated about the choices available for treating their symptoms. This includes Hormone Therapy (HT). However HT is not for every woman. A research shows that taking HT for a long time increases the risk for cardiovascular disease, blood clots and breast cancer. The Food and Drug Administration approves of hormone therapy (estrogen alone or estrogen plus progestin) only for the relief of menopausal symptoms at the lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time.

If a woman cannot use HT, she still has other choices. You could do some daily exercises, avoid triggers, reduce stress, drink a lot of water and don’t get overheated. These can help to cope up with hot flash.
